IESF 2011

In 2011, the Inland Empire Scholarship Fund gave over 126 scholarships to deserving Latino scholars.
More than $250,000 was donated by our generous sponsors this year to help young Latino scholars realize their goals through higher education.

The IESF 13th Annual Fund-Raiser and Student Recognition Dinner was held on Saturday, May 14, 2011, to a full house - more than 700 guests - the largest number of guests in the 11-year history. The event was held in the new gymnasium at UCR, and the atmosphere was stunning, and the mood festive. The Master of Ceremony was Elias Escamilla, a community college counselor with extensive experience in higher education.
Dr. Timothy White, Chancellor of UCR, and Auxiliary Bishop Rutilio del Riego of the San Bernardino Catholic Diocese were among those who addressed the attendees. State Assemblyman Manuel Perez (80th Assembly District), Dr. Mauricio Gaeta (MD) a former IESF recipient, current IESF recipient Eva Limon (UCR-UCLA medical student), and Miguel Ramirez (Riverside Community College student) also shared their experiences.
